Overview

Cisco released patches for two maximum-severity vulnerabilities in Secure Firewall Management Center (FMC). The flaws can allow unauthenticated remote attackers to execute commands and gain root-level access to the management platform.

Because FMC centrally controls firewall policies and security configuration across enterprise deployments, successful exploitation can expose a high-trust management plane and materially weaken network defense posture.
